Glencar Waterfall
Glencar straddles the Sligo/Leitrim border and is home to some dramatic steep cliffs and a series of waterfalls. The most dramatic is the Glencar Waterfall which descends from a 15-meter rocky headland. This famous Leitrim landmark provided WB Yeats with inspiration and is mentioned in his poem, ‘The Stolen Child.’
This print is part of my “Wild Atlantic Way” art print series, a vibrant and contemporary collection of open edition prints inspired by the many signature landmarks along Ireland’s west coast. The Wild Atlantic Way stretches 2600 kms (1600 miles) and is one of the longest defined coastal routes in the world.
